The GameCube was an awesome little machine. It was an utterly massive upgrade after the Nintendo 64, outdoing the PS2 graphically and, depending on the game, even running as well as the Xbox.
It was a time where Nintendo wanted to start entrusting third party companies to help release their games, and their move to discs (albeit tiny proprietary ones to try and avoid piracy) meant that you could play new, modern titles on their system just like the other big consoles of the day.
It was a true evolution for my generation - The GameCube came out while many of us who played the first Nintendo were reaching adulthood. Nintendo took that to heart and started releasing darker versions of their core titles and welcoming more mature games. It was a turning point for their "only for kids" image.
Special items included: Unreleased titles, prototypes, English-patched translations, and titles not in English that are easy enough to play without being fluent in another language.
Items removed: Non-working dumps, duplicates, prototypes or demos of games that eventually saw a full release, homebrew titles, multipacks that included games already in the set, titles that require proficiency in another language to play, and hacks.
Release notes: Two things - There are three copies of Donkey Konga included because all three regions had different songs, and NFL Blitz Pro currently has a static sound bug in the Dolphin emulator.
