The GX4000 was just a CPC+ home computer made into the form of a videogame console to try and get Amstrad into the emerging gaming market. Nintendo and Sega were far too powerful in the scene already, though, and had already begun launching into the 16 bit era.

Bad timing spelled disaster for this neat looking console, which didn’t even survive for a year.
