The Strikers line contains some of my favorite shoot 'em up games and is definitely one of the most graphically impressive series of its kind, with highly detailed sprites and incredible boss animations (often with surprise mecha or alien transformations).
There are a whole bunch of planes (including the fan favorite "Flying Pancake") and weapon setups to choose from, allowing for more customization beyond the usual shmup.
Pushing all of that forward at a constant rhythm is a fantastic soundtrack, different and unique to each game, that is cinematic in nature.
There is never a moment of tension or excitement that isn't matched perfectly by the music pouring out of your speakers!
