The Neo Geo Pocket Color will always be one of my favorite handheld systems. It started out its life as the Neo Geo Pocket, the original monochrome version that was outdated by the newer Color version not even six months later.

This amazing little handheld had a fantastic battery life, great sound, and microswitches for the directional pad, making it surprisingly tight gameplay-wise. Too bad the damned thing still didn't have a backlight, though!

While there wasn't a huge library of games released for it, there were certainly some exclusive gems to be enjoyed. This included tiny (but incredibly responsive) ports of some of the best fighting game franchises around, and the absolutely excellent card battling series for Neo Geo Freaks and Capcom lovers alike: "Card Fighters' Clash!"

Special items included: Prototypes, English-patched translations, and titles not in English that are easy enough to play without being fluent in another language.

Items removed: Non-working dumps, duplicates, prototypes of games that eventually saw a full release, homebrew titles, games that require proficiency in another language to play, and and monochrome Neo Geo Pocket games (those are in a separate collection).

Release notes: Wrestling games - Both "Big Bang Pro Wrestling" and its prototype "Wrestling Madness" are included because there were a whole lot of interesting art changes and a bit of gameplay difference between the two.
