The SAM Coupé was an 8-bit computer launched in Europe in 1989, a time where 16-bit computers were already on the rise. Even so, it was a powerful machine that rivaled some performance and features of 16-bit systems and was intended to be an affordable step between the two generations.

Sadly, slow sales for the system prevented many companies from wanting to make official software ports for it, and it became a commercial failure. There were only a small handful of officially made titles for it released.

However, there was an extremely dedicated fanbase that kept the charming SAM Coupé alive for years past its discontinuation, mostly in the form of an incredible amount of independent applications, games, and magazines on disk.

Special items included:
Demos of games that never saw a full release, games not in English (but only if they were easy enough to play without being fluent in another language), independent / homebrew games from the lifespan of the machine, plus these extras:

"AlfaSoft IQ Test," "FRED 22 (Etch-a-Sketch)," "Games Master (Rev 1.52)," "SAM Adventure System (Rev 1)," "The SAM Coupé Coloring Book," and "The SAM Coupé Demo."

Items removed:
Non-working dumps, duplicates (when possible - see notes below), and demos of games that eventually saw a release.

Release notes:
This is a complete re-work of my previous SAM Coupé set, which I did a couple years back. It was super messy and a good chunk of dumps have been completed since then. I've hand-tested these new additions, added 253 more titles overall, upgraded a few others to newer revisions, and organized the files much, much cleaner than last time.

The folders in this collection organize the files alphabetically, but a lot of these are compilation disks with more than one title on them.

There are several duplicates across these disks, but I've worked hard to keep the duplication down as much as possible, and every disk that may have a double of a game is included because it has at least one title not available on any other disk. The total amount of titles counted below is accurate to a list of only singular programs - In other words, even though there are only 243 files included and duplicates are present, there are still 581 completely unique titles included across the collection.
