The most forgotten of the PC Engine upgrades, the SuperGrafx was released two years into the TurboGrafx-16's lifespan with double the video chips and quadruple the RAM.
However, there wasn't a whole lot of promise - Developers weren't willing to spend time researching and working on the new hardware with more powerful and supported machines already on the market. Because of this, it only ended up with 7 total titles that made use of the new system's abilities.
The console had very weak sales, but it was at least fully compatible with the TurboGrafx's entire HuCard library and it supported the CD peripheral as well.
Special items included:
"Darius Alpha" and "Darius Plus." While these two titles were originally released for the TurboGrafx-16, they were built so that better performance and less screen flickering would happen on the SuperGrafx. They also made use of the full sound capability on the newer system as well.
Items removed:
Other regular TurboGrafx-16 games. Those can be found in my "TurboGrafx-16 Champion Collection."
Release notes:
Most modern PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 emulators can play these games with their full graphics and sound ability.
