Nintendo is known as a leader in innovation, and also a leader of gimmicky peripherals that are really neat, but short-lived and not well-adopted. The DK Bongo Controller is most definitely one of those peripherals.
They were a pair of small bongos with a microphone in the middle, and the only games that supported it were their own rhythm titles starring everyone's favorite banana hoarding ape family, and an adventure title where you navigated around and tried to survive by frantically attacking the device like it was your worst enemy.
They're all really fun games, and they are jam-packed with tons of music. The soundtrack for Jungle Beat is massive, and the first two Donkey Konga games had three regional releases, all with their own playlist of (somewhat questionable) cover songs of well-known hits.
I now present to you over 15 hours of audio from these titles for you to beat your own bongos to!
